A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Natalie Yvette McDonald of Seffner, Florida who passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 will be held on Friday January 8th, at 2:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, Florida, Pastor Ramone Gregory, officiating. The interment will be held in Hillsboro Memorial Cemetery in Brandon, Florida.
Natalie McDonald was born on September 26, 1964 in Freeport, Illinois, to her mother, Mary Bennett. She received her education in Racine, WI and graduated from Washington Park High School in 1985. Natalie was last employed at St. Luke’s Hospital in Racine, WI. She resided in Racine, WI until March of 2017, and relocated to Seffner, Florida. Natalie accepted Christ at a young age. She attended Second Missionary Baptist Church in Racine, WI under the tutelage of the late Rev. Mack C. Davis. Natalie loved her family and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed attending to all of her younger cousins. She was fondly known to everyone as, “Mama Nat.” She loved and enjoyed music, fashion, and shopping.….especially shopping. Her favorites were Sister Sledge, Electric Slide and Prince. She loved blue and leopard print. They knew her by name at Family Dollar and Winn Dixie with her favorite store being Ross.
Natalie leaves to cherish many loving memories with her mother Mary of Seffner, FL. Her brother Lincoln (Dawn) Best of Taftville, CT and sister-cousin Adrianne of Seffner, FL. Her aunts Manerva Wooden of Racine, WI, Miriam (Stanley) White of Dover, FL and Ruth (Perry) White of Kenosha, WI/Riverview, FL, Jimme McDonald of Red Oak, TX, Eddie Mae of Milwaukee, WI and Frances McDonald of Emporia, VA; along with a vast host of cousins – Casters, Brumfields, McDonalds, Woodens, Daniels, and Whites.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lee J and Irene McDonald, aunts and uncles Rosa Caster, George McDonald, Ernestine Brumfield, Leon McDonald, Robert McDonald, Vernon McDonald, Nellie Daniels, Shirley, James and Paul McDonald.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 8th, at 1:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines. The services will be live-streamed at www.aikensfuneralhome.com website.
