A Private Homegoing Service for Mrs. Mona Marie Griffin of Tampa, Florida who passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020, service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at Northside M.B. Church, Pastor Ricardo Robinson; Rev. Thomas Hadden, pastor of People for Christ Ministries, officiating. The interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, Thonotosassa, Florida.
Mrs. Griffin was a native of Clarksville, Tennessee and a resident of Tampa for more than 50 years. She was the First Lady of Evening Star Tabernacle M.B. Church where her husband, Rev. Jerome Griffin is the pastor.
She leaves to mourn her passing: husband, Rev. Jerome Griffin; sons, Stephen Griffin, Tyrome (Dallas) Griffin and Jerome Duaney (Audrey) Griffin, all of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Delton Griffin, Roneisha Sykes, Austin Griffin, Courtney Smith, Malik Gay, Houston Griffin, Audriana Griffin and Jerome ‘D.J.’ Griffin; great-grandchildren all of Tampa, Florida; sisters, Alisia (Theodore) Royal, Natalia (Ron) McClenton, Stephanie (James) Thompson, Julie Jackson, all of Tampa, Florida, Nancy Collins, Glenwood, IL and Brenda Collins, Chicago, IL; brothers, Robert (Delores) Collins, Oak Park, IL, Michael (Sharon) Collins, Las Vegas, NV, Mark (India) Collins, Matteson, IL, Gregory (Rosalind) Collins, Las Vegas, NV, Everett (Kelly) Collins, Lynwood, IL and Eric (Regina) Collins, Schaumburg, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, extended family and the Evening Star Tabernacle M.B. Church family.
