Obituary

A Homegoing Celebration for Mother Louise Salter Love of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday July 8, 2021 will be held on Saturday July 17th, 1:30 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Rev. Leonard Allen, officiating.

Louise Salter was born January 27, 1934 in Plant City, Florida to the late Isom Salter and Annie Mae Salter. In 1951 she married Eddie Walley. He was a great daddy to her only child, Mary Helen Walley. Later she married Hartly Love. Louise S. Love was a hard worker she believed in always having a clean house. She got saved and was very active in church where she ushered and sang in the choir. She was a member of “Evening Star Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church” in Tampa, Florida. Mother Love enjoyed Jimmy Swaggart Ministry and music. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Isom and Annie Mae Salter; brothers, L.C. Salter and John W. Salter and sister, Linda Gail Salter. Louise Salter Love leaves to cherish her loving memories of her sister, Jerline Weems; she leaves her only child, her daughter, Evangelist Mary Walley Chestnut. She leaves 3 grandchildren, Ronnie Christopher Copeland, Anthony Von Copeland, Neotacha Koretta Clark and Ebony Christine; 2 boys Mother Love, great-great-grandson, Koran Jean and Philip; great-greatgrandson, Zakkiy; a niece that she raised as her daughter, Anna Salter Poole; 5 great-grandsons, Malcom Louis Clark, Christopher Isaiak Copeland, Jasymyne Neshell Clark, Elbony Christine Copeland and Zakkiyah Vonteria Copeland; 4 great-granddaughters, Rhonda April Allen, Ja’Riyyah Alexicia Clark, Jalaysia Koretta Clark and Anna Ruth Clark; she leaves a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews. Mother Love leaves many daughters she adopted through the years. The later years Sis. Taylor, Sis. Lucus, Sis. Edith, Jackie and Shirley; Elder James Griffin of Faith Temple Pastor Robert Holmes, Apostle E.J. and Pastor Cherrl Smith; many residents at Centro Place; special thanks to, Shirley for all her help that she gave my mother before she had to give up her apartment. She leaves her great cousin, Shirley and family of Plant City, Florida.

Thank all of you for coming to this Home Going Celebration; Many Thanks to Bishop Leonard Allen and pastor Euphema Allen of The Way of Life Ministry of The Apostolic Faith, Plant City, Florida. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
