Obituary

 A Celebration of Life Service for Dea. Luarthur Robertson Sr., will be held on Saturday, February 22, at 10 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott St. Tampa, Florida, with Bishop Sylvester Robinson Pastor of Peace Progressive M.B. Church, officiating and Eulogist.  Interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Dea. Luarthur Robertson, Sr. was born in Eufaula, Alabama, on September 18, 1951 to the union of the late Dea. Wilson Robertson, Sr. and Mrs. Eunice (Madea) Robertson. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Middleton Senior High School, class of 1970. He continued his education at Allen University, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in 1974. He retired from the Office of Public Defender, thirteenth Judicial Circuit after 35 years of dedicated service as an investigator. Dea. Robertson was joined in holy matrimony to Betty (Hollinger) Robertson and to that union were born two sons, Luarthur Robertson, Jr. and Keldrick Robertson. He was preceded in death by parents, Wilson Robertson, Sr, and Eunice (Madea) Robertson; mother-in-law, Alma Hollinger; father-in-law, Robert Hollinger; sisters-in-law, Ann Robertson, Cliffette Hollinger, Felice Brown-Hollinger; brothers-in-law, Booker Haley, Bobby Hollinger; nephews, Reginald Harrell and Edmond Robertson, Jr. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: his loving wife, Betty (Hollinger) Robertson; his loving children, Luarthur Robertson, Jr., Keldrick (Shayorka) Robertson; loving grandchildren, Marquavis Hamilton, Jamarcus Roberson, Dashon Robertson, Devondre Robertson, Jayden Robertson, Tanaejah Davis, Trinity Robertson and Samya Robertson; goddaughters, Nicole Battles, Candice King, Kiersten Mobley, Martha Jones; godsons, Ricardo Kendrick, II, Cedric King, Kareem King, Shaun King, Alex Jones; brothers, Wilson Robertson, Jr., John (Ruth) Robertson, Sr., Edward (Mary) Robertson, Sr.; sisters, Lillie Haley, Rose Robertson, Maude Robertson and Callie Robertson; brother-in-law, Terence G. (Willette) Hollinger, Gary Brown; nieces, Dr. Vandelon (Eric) Holland, Katrina (Eric) West, Dr. Turkesia (David) Robertson-Jones, Ternise Robertson, Lana Norwood, Tiara Hollinger; nephews, Elton Hollinger, Bobby Hollinger, Jr., (Lillian), George (Tara) Johnson, Terence Hollinger, Jr., Horace J. Church, on Friday, February 21st  from 5 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
