India Lilli-Anna West of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 2:00 p.m. at Allen Temple AME Church, 2101 Lowe Street, Rev. Dr. Glenn B. Dames, Jr., pastor officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

During the summer of 2008 on June 18th Eric and Katrina West’s lives were blessed with Miss India Lilli-Anna West. As a baby we could tell that she was a night-owl and was going to be a handful. She would stay up very late until the wee hours of the morning and she was a challenge at every turn. As she began her educational journey at A Perfect Start Early Learning Center, we could see the success in her future with her dedication to schoolwork. With her focus and commitment to her studies she remained on the honor-roll from her entry into Lomax Elementary throughout her days at A. J. Ferrell Middle School in Tampa Florida. India began to evolve and blossom into a young lady with a warm heart full of care and concern for others. She had a passion for reading and she loved to sing and dance. She loved cooking, seafood and playing video games with her mother as well. She was very talkative, and she knew everybody’s business. She loved arts and crafts and enjoyed making jewelry and having sleepovers with her favorite cousins Shayla and Noah.  Although India was the youngest-she thought she was the boss of her older brother and he adored her despite it all. Most of all she loved spending time with her daddy. They were the best of friends. India touched more lives than she realized. With her bright smile, beautiful eyes and sense of humor, she touched the lives of not only her biological family, but also her Godly family.

The Good Lord looked down and decided He needed this beautiful child in His Kingdom, so He called her home and she took her wings and went to Glory on September 16, 2020. India’s memories will forever remain with her loving parents, Eric and Katrina West; brother, Eric West Jr., and sister, Eriqa West;  grandmother, Lillie Haley and grandfather, Maurice West; uncles, Gregory Haley and wife, Aida, Eric Haley and wife, Lauren, Jason James and wife, Nicole and aunt, TaJuana King; great uncles, Wilson Robertson, John Robertson Sr. and wife Ruth, Edward Robertson Sr., and wife Mary; great aunts, Rose Robertson, Callie Robertson and Maude Robertson; cherished cousins, Shayla and Noah Haley; and a host of other cousins, family and friends. India was preceded in death by her grandparents, Velma West and Booker Haley Jr and Anna Lee Rogers; great grandparents, Wilson Robertson, Sr., and wife, Eunice Robertson and Rachel Mae West. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 25th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. We are following the CDC Guidelines.
