A homegoing celebration for Mr. Reginald Charles Wright of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 will be held Friday, May 10th, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Elder Aaron Hayes, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Reginald was born February 28, 1955 in Tampa, Florida. He loved making people laugh and helping young people. He attended A.P. Leto High School and graduated from Middleton High School and Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology. He taught in the school systems in Louisiana and retired as educator of Hillsborough County Public Schools. He taught at Booker T. Washington, Ben Hill and Van Buren Junior High Schools and King High School. He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Louise Craig and dear aunt, Evelyn S. Williams. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his loving daughter, Lavoris Kantrell Walker; grandchildren, Craig Brandon Hall, Lamecia S. Degree, Erianna S. Mitchell, Reginald L. Harper, Jr. and Joshua M. Woods; great-grandchild, Josiah Degree; aunts, Delsena S. Goodwin; cousins, Dr. Blair A. Bergen (Dr. Peggy Ann), William Henry Stokes III, Michael B. Stokes (Maggie), Clarence Lenwood Spencer, Hope Hamlin (Kevin) and Clarissa S. Wright (Danny) and dear friend, Ron Peterson. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 10th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Friday for the service.
