A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Marissa Richmond of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019, will be held Saturday, November 9th, 2:00 p.m. at Anointed Word Church, 1709 West Saint Joseph Street, Pastor Roy Hayes, officiating. Marissa passed peacefully from this life in Chicago, Illinois. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last moments of her life. Marissa was born in Savannah, Georgia. She graduated from Leto High School class of 2000 and was also a proud graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2000-2004, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. After graduation, she relocated to Chicago, Illinois where she worked as a senior analyst. Marissa is survived by parents, Craig G Hammonds and Anna Lovett; husband, Dorsey Richmond; 2 sons, Dyson and Dorsey; 1 daughter, Desiree; 2 sisters, Abriel Spells and Tekoah Hammonds; 1 brother, Larry Mitchell; 2 nieces, Jasmine and Niya; 2 nephews, Judea and Darshae; a host of loving family members and devoted friends. Flowers and donations can be made to the family Tekoah Hammonds. Marissa truly loved life and lived it to the fullest. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all who have sent their heartfelt love and support during this difficult time. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Anointed Word Church. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
