A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Marguerite Williams of Tampa, Florida who passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019, will be held Saturday, November 2nd, 10:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Marguerite was born to the late Lindsay Williams and Pressie Spotford Williams on September 15, 1933 in Tampa, Florida. Marguerite dedicated her life to the Lord. She was a longtime and dedicated member of Allen Temple AME Church, where she served faithfully. She was a selfless Christian who was giving to all she met. She took care of everyone in the family as well as her friends. She has now gone home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lindsay and Pressie L. Williams; brothers, Julius Williams, David Williams, Clarence Williams, Lionel L. Williams, Kenneth Williams and Edward Williams, Sr.; sisters, Alice Montgomery and Edith E. Williams. She leaves cherished memories and is survived by nephews, Alvin Williams, of St. Petersburg, FL, Edward Williams Jr., of Palm Bay, FL, Reginald Williams, of Haines City FL and Alfonso Williams (Carrie) of Tampa, FL; nieces, Gail Williams of West Palm Beach, FL, Janice Williams of Tampa, FL; and a host of cousins and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 1st from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service.
