Mike attended Lake County Schools and Hillsborough Schools systems. After graduating from Tampa Bay Tech in 1973 he joined the United States Army to pursue a career as a mechanic. After serving in the military Mike then pursued a career as a truck driver, traveling throughout the United States. Mike loved his wife, Barbara and enjoyed spending time with her. Mike made sure he lived his life to the fullest; he enjoyed talking to his grandchildren weekly. If anyone asked Mike about fishing, “No” was never an answer. Mike enjoyed fishing no matter if it was in a boat or on the river bank the relaxing and enjoyment he received after bringing home a nice size bass or speck made his heart happy. Mike also enjoyed cooking and spent a lot of time in the kitchen creating meals from scratch. Mike was full of life, there was no dull moment when you were around him you felt the love. The conversation, the laughs, and jokes was all in love. Mike enjoyed a good football game and talking with friends. Mike would like for you to know that his earthly work is done. He received the call, an offer he couldn’t refuse. The new assignment comes with a reunion with family and friends. This assignment will allow him to forever watch over us. Lots of love, laughter, and good health is guaranteed. With the memories of his smile and character do not mourn but celebrate, his mission here is complete.
