A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Jerusha C. Kyles , “Dee Dee” of Tampa, Florida who passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019, will be held on Saturday, July 27th, 2:00 p.m. at New Mt. Zion M.B. Church, 2511 E. Columbus Dr., Pastor Larry Roundtree II, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Jerusha was born July 1, 1944 in Plant City, Florida to the late Early McKinley and Catherine Wooden. She was a 1963 graduate of Marshall High School. She met Prince Revere in 1962 and married in 1965. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended, God’s Will Church under the pastorate of Rev. Alicia Garvey. She was called to be one of the mothers of the church. She later became a member of New Mt. Zion M.B. Church. She enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, crocheting, arts and crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George McKinley; sister, Annie R. McKinley; ex-husband, Prince Revere; and son, Michael Revere. She leaves loving and precious memories with her children, Anthony Revere, Annie Revere (Owen) and Prince Revere (Shirley); grandchildren, Deanna Revere, Latasha Revere, Latonya Hopkins, Latoya Revere, Ashley Hudge, Courtney Smith, Lakiesha Quarterman, Marquita Revere, Prince Revere, Jr., Princess Revere, Titiyanna Revere, Keke Revere and Michael Revere, Jr.; 32 great grandchildren; brothers, Early McKinley (Victoria), Norman McKinley (Dorothy), Oscar McKinley, Solomon McKinley (Geraldine) and Benjamin McKinley (Patricia); aunt, Louise Perry; nieces, Cynthia Myles, Wanda Buie, Belinda Hargrove, Latonia Buie Bravo, Fannie Buie, Mattie and Kendra Revere, Angel Hickson, Janice Woodall, Sharon Jones and Sylvia Thompson Bruce; nephews, Weldon and Kenny Buie, Hezekiah Hargrove, Ronnie, Donnie and Cornell Buie and John McKinley; best-friends, Willie Mae Mention and Martha Merrell and spiritual mother, Mary Malcolm; other relatives, church family and friends. The visitation will be held Friday, July 26th at Aikens Funeral Home, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will be present during the visitation. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
