A homegoing celebration for Mr. Herbert Louie Richardson of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 will be held on Saturday, February 24th, 2:00 p.m. at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 8119 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Rev. Eugene Garnett, pastor officiating. Mr. Richardson was 76 years old and was a resident of Tampa, Florida. Herbert as born in Lumberton, Florida on February 26, 1941 to the late Taft Richardson and Mary Turner. He accepted the Lord early in life and was a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs. Mr. Richardson graduated from Middleton High School. He was employed with Gulf Coast Lift Company company for many years, but his true passion as a self-employed master mechanic. He also had a passion for animals, especially horses. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annie Mae; brothers, Herman, Taft Sr., and Clifford; son, Kevin; daughter, Gloria; grandson, Demmond. Herbert leaves to his cherish fond and loving memories with his children, Alvin Richardson, Ann McCoy, Yolanda Richardson-Smith (Charlie), Ray Baldwin, Angie Daniels, Deidre Wilson-Allen (Michael), Tony Reese (Herbert), Marlon Richardson, Karen Richardson, Elijah Richardson, Herbert Richardson, Jr., Isaiah Richardson, Donovan Richardson and Debra Burnett; a host of grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, brothers, Charles Richardson (Olga), Harold Richardson ( Marjorie) and Arnold Richardson; sister, Sheila Nixon (Eric); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends too numerous to name. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
