A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Grady W. Brewster of Los Angeles, CA who passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 will be held on Saturday, January 11th, 1:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Grady was born in Meridian, Mississippi on October 7, 1950 to the late Grady and Elsie Lee Brewster. He enjoyed going on family outings, taking photos, and biking along the beach. He was preceded in death by, his parents; 4 brothers, Joe Nathan Brewster, James, Darryl and Dwight Brewster-Mosley. He leaves to cherish his memories: companion, Jackie Weeks; 2 sons, Kenneth Barker (and his children, Gregory Turner, Yasmine Grey, Keisha Capehart, Tiandra Barker, Tiara Barker, Kenshia Hardy, Kristopher Williams, Taiwon Hardy, Alexandra Thomas, Miracle Allen and Rolanda Barker) and Grady Brewster, III and his children, Darrius Brewster, Grady IV Brewster, Gierra Brewster, LaTonya Sims, and LaToya Sims; 2 great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Darrius; 4 sisters, Joann Brewster Bell, Joyce McCray, Rosie Lee Brewster and Elaine Brewster; 4 uncles, Leonard “Joe” Coleman (Elaine), Roosevelt Coleman (Eola), Larry Ruffin (Bertha) and Jerry Ruffin (Cynthia); 7 aunts, Annie Kate Patton (Fred), Geraldine Chappel, Evelyn Conaway, Jeanette Clark, Maxine Hall, Joyce Coleman and Dorothy Coleman; nieces and nephews, Trenese, Joyce, Lakithia Dziadon (Joseph), Christina Surgeon (Linus), Terran Bell (Amiee/Kianna), Teleah Bell (Tony), Antwaine Christopher (Jennifer), Kelvin McCray, John Shuler, Reginald and Kerwin Alexander, Ja-‘mon (Donshea) Hill, Mark Sherman, Jr., Marquita Morgan (Stanley) and Arsenio Coston (Samantha); and a host of special friends who will dearly miss him.
