A Homegoing Celebration for Deaconess Gloria Jean Scott Moore of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 will be held on Saturday, October 12th, 10:00 a.m. at New Hope M.B. Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. On December 25,1944, God blessed Lula Mae Scott Jacobs (preceded in death) with a bouncing baby girl. Sis Gloria Moore was born in the Fair City of Zellwood, Florida. Later in life she moved to Tampa, FL, where she became a member of New Hope M.B. Church, under the leadership of Rev. John Willis. She moved her membership to Bible M.B. Church, where she served as inspirational Deaconess. In marriage to Deacon Levi Moore, she returned to New Hope M.B. Church, where she continued to study the Word, became a Sunday School teacher and taught the Word, but most of all she LIVED THE WORD. Gloria was always a faithful and devoted member. If there was work to be done for the Lord, she was one of the first to volunteer. If there was a church convention or church congress, she was in attendance. She had a spirit about her that would draw you. To know her was to love her. She was a soft-spoken person that delivered the message about God in a way you couldn’t help but listen. She was a TRUE child of God, loving everyone she met.She was a faithful and devoted wife to husband of 16 years, Dea. Levi Moore. A Loving mother, supportive sister and was there for all members of the family. She was labeled as the ROCK of the family, lending a shoulder to cry on and a word from the Lord, always willing to help in the time of need. She will truly be missed by all who knew her and the memories will forever be in our hearts. God gave and God took away. On October 1, 2019, He called and she answered. She leaves beautiful memories of her to: devoted husband, Dea. Levi Moore; 3 sons, Min. Marcus Jacobs (Corlissa), Major Jacobs and Michael Jacobs; stepdaughter, Youlanda King; through marriage she gained 2 daughters, Sharon Butler and Cynthia Graham (Bobby) and 1 son, Carlos Moore (Christine); grandchildren, Delaine Williams (Michael), Tiffany Chassie, Marcus, Jr. Marcayla, Marcellus, Michael, Jr.  and Vashiti Jacobs, Eva and William Butler, Bobby Graham, Maurice Miller (Misako), Shannel Miller, Carlos Jr., Corey, and Christopher Moore; 2 sisters, Patricia McCree and Murline Wright; 3 brothers, Robert Ritchie (Young), Ernest Baker (Mary Alice) and Jimmy Baker; god sisters, Eloise Moore (Martin) and Louise Bruten; mother-in-law, Eva Mae Moore; brother-in-law, Melzie Moore (Linda); host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.
