Delores Beal Foster

The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Delores Beal Foster, who passed away peacefully from this life into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, June 24, 2019, will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mt. Carmel AME Church, 4209 N 34th St, Pastor R.A. Polk, officiating.  The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Delores Beal Foster was born on July 1, 1923 in Loughman, FL to the late James C. and Nettie Beal. She attended the Public Schools in Hillsborough County and graduated from George S. Middleton High School. As a young lady she met and married Lumfield Foster. Delores Beal Foster retired from Tampa General Hospital. Delores accepted Christ at an early age and attended Greater Mt. Carmel AME Church, until she was no longer able to due to her health. She was a faithful member of choir # 1 Sarah Lawrence choir, choir president, choir secretary and trustee board. Mrs. Delores Beal Foster was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Nettie Beal; husband, Lumfield Foster; daughter, Jacquelyn King; 3 brothers, James C. Beal, Jr., Leonard A. Beal, Sr. and John H. Beal and 1 sister, Ila Beal. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories with: 1 granddaughter, Kimberly Reeves; 1 grandson, Kolbe Reeves, Sr.; 4 great grandchildren, Alexander Warren, Jr., Ashley Warren and Amber Warren and Kolbe Reeves, Jr. all of Tampa, FL; nephews, Kenneth Beal (Melba), Leonard Beal and Eric Beal, Sr.; nieces, Gloria Creed-Harry (Ronald), Joyce Johnson (Joe), Constance Pierce, Loretta Beal and Beatrice Beal; grand nephews, Rev. Dr. Anthony R. Thomas, Jr., Keith L. White, Vaughn Beal (Sharmon), Kenneth D. Wilson, Kaseem Beal, Bayon Beal, Bashir Beal, Hameen Beal, Marc Beal and Eric Beal, Jr.; grandnieces,  Ila Denise Chaney (Tommy), Yolanda Lewis (Ronald), Latricia Beal, Tawanna Beal, LaDonna Beal, Sayida Beal, Kawanna Bell, Latoya Redfern, Rhonda Harry, Junny Conner, Cherise Kelly Greene and Larue Beal;  cousins, Aletha Scroggins, Carol Ridgeway, Geraldine Scroggins and Gaye Scroggins; godson, Sam Bolden; longtime friend, Mary Greene and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
