A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Cindy Marie Jerez Arjona who passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tampa, FL 33610, Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. On February 7, 2019Cindy Jerez Arjona passed this life. Cindy entered this life on December 3, 1993 in Santiago, Dominican Republic. In 1997, her father relocated the family North Carolina through his service in the United States Marine Corp. Cindy eventually followed her family to duty stations in Hawaii and California. In 2010 Cindy’s family followed her mother on assignment with the U.S. Army to MacDill Airforce Base where Cindy took her residence in Tampa, Florida. Cindy was a loving sister to her younger brothers, Rafael and Michael. She was a loving daughter to her mother, Ruth Arjona and her father, Henry Jerez. Cindy was a member of The Crossings Church, she relied on her faith in Christ to carry her through the un-timely death of her brother Rafael. As a school girl, Cindy excelled academically and developed a passion for writing. Later in life, Cindy spent countless hours at the beach and often stayed past dark just to star gaze. Most of all Cindy is remembered as the proud and devoted mother of Mia and Camila. Her final days were spent re-designing new bedrooms as a surprise for the girls. In the end, Cindy left two happy girls who will love and remember their mommy forever. Cindy was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Rafael Jerez-Arjona and grandfather, Rafael Dejesus Jerez. She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories with her daughters, Mia and Camila; parents, Ruth Arjona and Henry Jerez; brother, Michael X. Jerez-Arjona; sister, Yamilet M. Jerez; aunts, Yisel Arjona, Jenny Jerez, Isabel Hereoia and Johanna Hereoia; uncles, Rafael L. Jerez, Edwin R. Jerez; cousins, Danny Falto, Marcos Lozano, Oliver Lozano, Oscar Mejia’ and Catherine Perez; grandmothers, Juana M. Jimenez and Margarita Jimenez; great grand-mother, Catalina Jerez Espaillat and grandfather, Miguel Arjona.
