Here's Our Message To The Community
The family and staff of Aikens Funeral Home understand the guidelines set forth by the government are a far departure from the warm reunions and social gatherings from our traditional funeral home environment for the families we support. However, for the safety of all of our families who we care deeply for, we must adhere to the guidelines stated by our state and government leaders.
As we continue to feel the increasing impact of the coronavirus, we want to share with you what we are doing to keep our guests and associates healthy and safe.
While we are taking these critical steps to maintain the health and safety of everyone who enters our facility, the CDC has also published important guidelines for our guests and members of the community to follow to help reduce the spread of this virus. Some of these steps include:
Despite these measures to protect families and employees, there may be some who express concern about coming into the funeral home due to the virus threat. To those we want to convey that much of the arrangement conference can be accomplished over the phone. Contracts and other required documents must be signed, however obituary approvals, etc. can also be handled through email.
The threat of the coronavirus creates a complex and evolving situation for all of us. For the past 40 years, Aikens Funeral Home has been and will remain a steadfast and dependable member of the community. We will get through this threat the same way we always have – together.
