A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Martha Lee Davis of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017 will be held on Saturday, July 1st, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 4008 E. Cayuga Street, Rev. Michael White pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Martha L. Davis was born December 27, 1936 in Leslie Georgia to the late Willie Singletary, Sr. and Fannie Lou Singletary.  She was educated in Leslie, Georgia.  Mrs. Davis was employed at Sol Walker and later started her own business.  As an entrepreneur, she owned and operated her own cleaning service for over three decades.   Although she had been retired for 10 years she was still very outgoing.  Mrs. Martha Davis was united in holy matrimony to Mr. James Walter Davis, Sr. in 1954 and to that union 9 children were born. She was preceded in death by her loving and faithful husband, James Walter Davis, Sr.; two of her children, James Davis, Jr. and Juanita Grey Davis, and her granddaughter, Audrey Norman. She leaves to morn her precious memories with: 2 daughters, Sylvia Walker (Eddie) and April Davis (Emmett); 5 sons, Norris Davis, Sr. (Jackie), Ronald Davis, Steven Davis (Debra) of Dallas, Texas, Kenocer Davis, and Daryl Davis, all of Tampa; 21 grandchildren, James Jr., Gerald, Terrell, Patrick, Tamika, Brittany, Norris Jr., Ronald Jr., Tierra, LaRonda, Edward Jr., Joshua, Tia, Terrance, Kenardo, Donald Jr., Kurvey, Ashley, Michael, Ranessia and Randashia; 4 brothers, Willie Singletary Jr. (Evelyna), Elder Jadie Singletary (Josephine), Sol Singletary (Betty) and Marvin Singletary (Carol); 3 sisters, Bonnie Barber, Lavelle Renaye Shaw and Pinease Nobles (Roy); goddaughter, Denitra Robinson; godson, Alvin Hodo (Deborah); dear friends, Delores Gaul and Dorothy MacFadden;  neighbor and dear friend, Lossie Allen; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 30th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
