A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Juanita Jackson of Tampa, Florida who passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 will be held Friday, June 9th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Pastor Joseph Reed, officiating. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery. Juanita Jackson was born January 16, 1933 in Tampa, Florida to the late Luther C. and Anna Maria Harrison. She was educated in Hillsborough County Public schools and later received her GED. Juanita married Johnnie Jackson and to this union, two daughters and two sons were born. She bravely served as a military wife and mother through her husband’s service in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and received a certificate of service along with her husband. He was honorably discharged from the United Sates Air Force after serving for 27 years. Juanita was a member of the King Blvd. Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Jackson and parents, Luther and C. and Anna Maria Harrison. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Rita, Cathye, Keith and Kevin Jackson (Theresa); grandchildren, Erika Van Hyfte, Alexander Corle, Teneka Reed (Billy) and Kevin Jackson II; great-grandchildren, Ashley Van Hyfte, Billy Reed, Jr., Cain Corle, Jackson Van Hyfet and Talaina Reed; brother, Terry Harrison; sisters, Rose Morton (James) and Lenora Fisher (Roland); nephews, Alphonso Campbell and Daryl Jones; a host of other cousins and relatives; friends, Polete Buard, Kathleen Bullano, Erica and Oliva Breaux. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 9th, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Friday for the service.
